BZ Cemetery

Directions to B’nai Zion Cemetery at 605 Lullwater Road (zipcode: 37405)

Click HERE for MAP of directions to the cemetery.  Map and photo of cemetery by Google.

From Atlanta, when I-75 splits for Knoxville-Nashville, bear LEFT toward Nashville on I-24. This will take you toward downtown Chattanooga.   There will be another split once you are passing downtown Chattanooga.  Bear RIGHT at the split toward Downtown on I-27.  (Left would take you to Nashville).

(From Nashville, when I-24 splits for Knoxville/Atlanta-Downtown, bear LEFT toward Downtown on I-27.)

After you cross the Tennessee River, start looking for the Dayton Blvd Exit.

On Dayton Blvd (going toward downtown Redbank), you will go through the Signal Mountain Blvd. intersection (stay on Dayton Blvd.).  Continue to the next traffic light (across from Ace Hardware which is on your right).  Turn left on Hedgewood Drive and keep going on the winding hilly road (about .8 of a mile).  Before you intersect with Lullwater Road, you will see the Cemetery straight ahead on the hill.  Lullwater is the road in front of the Cemetery.

B'nai Zion members have been given burial at B'nai Zion Cemetery since 1891.

Cemetery References

FIND A GRAVE ONLINE -  findagrave.com. has good coverage for the Chattanooga area.  In many instances, photographs of the gravestones are included.

Local Jewish cemeteries include the following:

B'nai Zion Cemetery
Shaari Zion Cemetery
Mizpah Cemetery
There is also a Jewish section in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.

Chevra Kadisha and Shemirah

The Chevra Kadisha (preparation of the body according to Jewish custom) and Shemirah (sitting with the deceased) is composed of members of all three local Jewish congregations in Chattanooga.

We have arrangements with two local funeral homes: Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, and Chattanooga Funeral Home (downtown location).
