Chevra Kadisha and Shemirah

The Chevra Kadisha (a group that is trained in preparation of the body according to Jewish custom) and Shemirah (sitting with the deceased) is composed of members of all three local Jewish congregations in Chattanooga.

In case of death,, please contact our office at (423) 894-8900 during normal office hours. Outside of office hours, please contact one of the approved funeral homes listed below. They will be able to contact the Rabbi and cemetery staff.
