American Jewish University’s Intro to Judaism Class
This 18-week course covers much of the basics. Classes focus on an awareness of the multiple layers of Jewish texts, Jewish history, and the holidays. It is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about Judaism.
Exploring Judaism
Exploring Judaism is great resource for learning more about Conservative Judaism. Exploring Judaism is a database of Torah commentaries, and all kinds of information about Jewish living written by Rabbis in the field. All kinds of articles about the Torah portion, holidays, Jewish observance can be found here.
The CJLS Teshuvot database
CJLS stands for the Committee of Jewish Law and Standards. This is the primary body of Rabbis who decide Jewish law for the Conservative movement. These articles are much more advanced and address questions about modern Jewish living such as driving electric cars on Shabbat, the kosher status of vegan restaurants, and other pressing questions that the movement has grappled with over the last fifty years.
Sefaria
Sefaria is a critical learning tool. This is a digital database of hundreds of source texts from Torah, Rabbinic texts such as the Mishnah and Talmud, and many more.
